The Nigerian National Petroleum Company has debunked reports of a likely increase in the price of petrol. Independent oil marketers (IPMAN) had alerted Nigerians to news of a further increase in the pump price of petrol to N680/N720 per litre if the dollar continued to trade between N910 and N950 on the parallel market. Organized labour, the Nigerian Labour Congress had on Monday of a nationwide shutdown if the pump price of petrol was increaseed.
Responding on its twitter handle, the retail arm of the NNPCL urged Nigerians to disregard speculations about any further increase in the pump price of petrol
